Community input is invited for the 2024-2025 school year budget.

As senior staff engage in the budget planning process for the 2024-2025 school year, we want to hear from you. We invite you to participate in a ThoughtExchange to share your thoughts and ideas about the HPEDSB budget. It’s a chance to let us know what's most important to you and guide our budget-planning discussions.

By sharing your thoughts and ideas, HPEDSB will be aware of what's important to you to support student achievement. Your input will also assist us to make fiscally responsible, data-driven decisions to support student learning and achievement.

The three areas of focus for HPEDSB are reading, math and credit accumulation (at secondary school). These areas of focus align with the Ontario Ministry of Education priorities.

How to participate in the ThoughtExchange

You will be prompted to share your thoughts, then rate the thoughts others have contributed. Feel free to include as many thoughts as you like.

Come back often to read and rate new thoughts added. High ratings tell us you strongly support the idea and low ratings tell us you strongly do not support the idea; both are important.

Quick tips

This Exchange is anonymous. Your thoughts will be shared with other participants, but not your identity. You will see and rate thoughts that others have shared. 5 stars = strongly agree, 1 star = strongly disagree. You do not need to rate all thoughts, though it's recommended to rate at least 30.

The ThoughtExchange will be open until February 4, 2024.
