The Adventure Class at Queen Victoria School is holding an electronics waste fundraiser during Earth Week, in partnership with with the Ontario Electronic Stewardship. This event is to create awareness of Earth Day, provide a safe way to dispose of electronics and to support student learning.
DATE: April 22 to 28, 2013
LOCATION: Parking lot at Dewe's Independent Grocery Store, 420 Dundas Street East, Belleville
Community members are invited to drop off unwanted, outdated or broken electronics waste for free. Look for the Ontario Electronic Stewardship recycling bin, open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. The Adventure Class will receive funds based on the amount collected.

- Home theaters-in-a-box, which includes home theatre image audio and video equipment and speakers

- Optical drives
- Point of sale (POS) receipt printers
- Scanners
- Stereo speakers and computer speakers
- Turntables, record Players and gramophones
- Typewriters powered by an AC power plug or by internal battery unit

- Wire line telephones, including rotary and touch-tone technologies
