THE STORY
This original musical follows the lives of a group of young people in the late 60's on the sunny California Coast as they search for the next big wave to the music of the Beach Boys.
1968, on the sunny beaches of California. Chet just wants to hit the surf, but this summer, he's going to hit life-head on. In his search for the big wave, he will find a girl, lose a friend, and surf into the biggest wave of his life-and hopefully, come out the other side.
The musical Endless Summer is a project of the Musical Theatre class. The production started with a rough storyline and the amazing Beach Boys music catalog. The script was developed in the first eight weeks of the course, along with character sketches, costume designs, set development and construction, prop sourcing and promotion.
Senior student Hayden Grierson is at the helm directing this production and every element of the production is being handled by students. There will be a great display of talent and hard work by students on the stage, and an amazing amount of dedicated work being done by students off stage as well.
