Students at Susanna Moodie Elementary School care about others. They recently raised $2,500 for the Terry Fox Foundation.
School incentive events helped the students to meet their goal. They chipped in for extended recess time, donated to see teachers shave their heads and faces, and participated in other fun activities.
"We raised the bar this year and challenged students to exceed last year's total," explained Heather Rutherford, Principal.
And exceed they did, going from $5oo to five times that amount.
In addition, the major contributor, a Grade 3 student, donated $50 of his birthday money toward the campaign.
Congratulations to all at Susanna Moodie Elementary School for their commitment to community!
