The search for a new Director of Education is underway at Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
Executive search firm, Phelpsgroup, has been retained to support the trustee search committee in planning, up-front consultation, outreach/recruitment, identification of potential candidates, and support with the interview, selection and transition processes.
Consultations with internal and external stakeholders are now underway in order to get feedback about key priorities and core competencies required of the new Director of Education.
The search process will continue throughout the coming weeks with candidate interviews taking place in late June/early July and the new Director of Education in place in August 2019.
The current director, Mandy Savery-Whiteway, announced her retirement in January.
