What does the term collaboration mean to elementary school students? How far will a cardboard boat float? What school renovations were completed in 2018? Can leadership happen in Kindergarten? These are some of the questions you'll find answers to in the 2018 Director's Annual Report.
The interactive engaging report offers a glimpse into student learning, employee development and progress made on the strategic priorities at Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board during 2018.
"We're excited that the annual report is a brand new format that's electronic and interactive. It's an experience that allows people to scroll through, see and hear the voices of our students and employees in videos, flip through pictures, scan the infographics and read about the school board accomplishments. It's mobile-friendly, making it easy to look at on a phone or other handheld device," said Mandy Savery-Whiteway, Director of Education.
The report is laid out in five chapters that align with the school board priorities: Achieving Excellence & Equity; Learning & Leadership; Public Confidence; and Well-Being. Each contains brief interactive articles describing the accomplishments. The fifth chapter, Looking Ahead, outlines the focus for 2019.
