The renovated Marmora Public School will open to students from two schools on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
The updated facility will consolidate 157 students from Earl Prentice Public School, currently JK to Grade 3, with 109 students from Marmora Public School, currently Grade 4-8, to become a JK-Grade 8 school with 266 students.
A community input process in 2017 proposed the school be renamed Marmora Public School from Marmora Senior Public School to better reflect the consolidated student body. The Board of Trustees approved the new name in June 2017 and it was effective January 8, 2018.
The newly renovated Marmora Public School is a vibrant facility with a modern learning environment. It has five new spacious classrooms, a new main office and foyer, a new learning commons and a large new gymnasium.
