Takeover Day is an educational event that allows us to learn about our past, learn more about the history of Canada and our great city while being creative, having fun and developing leadership skills.
DATE: Saturday, April 7, 2018
TIME: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Taking part in this event provides experiential learning and volunteering for the students in the Student Leadership class who learn, share and engage with others at the Glanmore National Historic Site. Some of their responsibilities will include greeting visitors, running activities and unveiling a temporary exhibit about the Munson shipwreck. Speeches from students and special guests will take place from 2:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
The museum cares for an extensive collection of antique furniture, paintings and ceramics. Local history is highlighted in Glanmore’s lower level, and includes the Early Homestead exhibit and Maid of All Work: Domestic Service at Glanmore.
