On April 13, 2026, the Government of Ontario tabled the Putting Student Achievement First Act, 2026, that if passed, would amend the Education Act; Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014; School Boards Collective Bargaining Act, 2014; Ottawa-Carleton French-Language School Board Transferred Employees Act; Ontario College of Teachers Act, 1996; and the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario Act, 2005.
The public is invited to comment on this proposal by May 13, 2026.
