Looking ahead: Important dates for the 2026-2027 school year
As we continue to focus on the growth, well-being and success of our students, we are also looking ahead to ensure you have the information you need to plan for the future. I am delighted to share that the Ministry of Education has officially approved our 2026-2027 School Year Calendar.
We know how important it is for families to have these dates early to arrange for childcare, family time and appointments. To help you prepare for the year ahead, please review the key dates and holidays.
Important dates to remember
First day of school: Wednesday, September 2, 2026
Winter Break: Monday, December 21, 2026 to Friday, January 1, 2027
Board holiday: Friday, March 12, 2027. Schools will be closed on this day, leading right into March Break
March Break: Monday, March 15, 2027 to Friday, March 19, 2027
Last day of school: Monday, June 28, 2027
Professional Activity (PA) Days
Please note that there is no school for students on the following days. Our educators and staff will be participating in professional development to continue bringing the best learning experiences to your children:
• Tuesday, September 1, 2026 • Friday, January 29, 2027
• Monday, October 26, 2026 • Friday, April 23, 2027
• Friday, November 20, 2026 • Monday, May 31, 2027
