Free city transit passes for students

We're excited to announce expanded opportunities for HPEDSB students to access free public transit!

For Belleville Transit (Grades 9-12):

  •  Who's covered: Bayside, Centennial, Eastside, and now Trenton High School students.
  •  How to get your pass: Students will receive an email with instructions to sign up and download the B-Tap app.
  •  Opt-out: If you do not wish for your child to participate in the Belleville program, please fill out the Opt-Out of Student Belleville City Bus Pass form that was sent to parent/caregiver emails by September 10, 2025.

For Quinte Transit (Trenton High School, Grades 7-12):

  • Who's covered: All Trenton High School students in Grades 7-12.
  •  How to get your pass: Apply in person with student ID at Quinte Transit (30 Pelham St., Ste #1, Trenton, ON K8V 5A7) Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Benefits for Students:

These partnerships offer increased flexibility and independence for students to attend school, work, extracurricular activities and expand their cooperative education opportunities.


These cost-saving programs will support families and provide students with more opportunities for learning, enrichment and easy transportation.
