As senior staff at HPEDSB begin to develop the budget for the 2026-2027 school year, we want to hear from you. We invite you to participate in a ThoughtExchange to share thoughts and ideas that you believe need to be prioritized. It’s a chance to let us know what's most important to you. Your input will assist us to make fiscally responsible, data-driven decisions to support student learning and achievement.
The HPEDSB vision is Inspiring and innovating for a bright future and the mission is We educate and empower students with skills for success. The four strategic plan priorities are the following:
-
Strengthening Foundational and Real-world Skills
-
Advancing Indigenous Education and Reconciliation
-
Fostering Critical Thinking, Adaptability and Innovation
-
Promoting Citizenship, Well-Being and Safe Environments
How to participate in the ThoughtExchange
You will be prompted to share your thoughts, then rate the thoughts others have contributed. Feel free to include as many thoughts as you like.
Come back often to read and rate new thoughts added. High ratings tell us you strongly support the idea and low ratings tell us you strongly do not support the idea; both are important.
Quick tips
This Exchange is anonymous. Your thoughts will be shared with other participants, but not your identity. You will see and rate thoughts that others have shared. 5 stars = strongly agree, 1 star = strongly disagree. You do not need to rate all thoughts, though it's recommended to rate at least 30.
The ThoughtExchange will be open until January 23, 2026.
