The Wednesday of the last full week in April is recognized as Administrative Professionals Day. This year it is Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
The four priorities in the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan-Achieving Excellence & Equity, Learning & Leadership, Public Confidence and Well-Being-link directly to the work administrative professionals do every day.
Administrative professionals support our schools and departments, and contribute to student achievement and well-being. These dedicated employees care for students, assist co-workers and families, keep offices functioning and interact directly with the public. They are ambassadors for our organization. Their efforts help to create welcoming, inclusive, safe and accepting schools and offices.
Administrative Professionals Week has been celebrated since 1952, beginning as Secretaries Week in the early 1950s. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the work of secretaries, administrative assistants and other office professionals for their invaluable contributions to the workplace.
This week, please take a few moments to thank the administrative professionals in our district for all they do every day to support students.
