Trustees elected to Ontario Public School Boards’ Association

The election results are in for the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA). The OPSBA 2010 elections were held as part of the 22nd Annual General Meeting which took place from June 3 to 6 at Caesar’s Hotel and Conference Centre in Windsor. 

Carl Pitman, Mary Hall and Michael Brant from the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board were elected to serve with the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) for a one-year term.
Chair Carl Pitman was elected as the Eastern Region Vice-chair for OPSBA. Vice-chair Mary Hall was elected as a work group member of the Education Program. This work group provides recommendations to the Board of Directors and the Executive Council on various educational issues. Trustee Michael Brant was elected as a First Nations Council Policy Group representative. OPSBA First Nations Council elects one member to represent their interests on the OPSBA Board of Directors.
The OPSBA represents over 1.3 million elementary and secondary students from public school authorities and public district school boards across Ontario. OPSBA supports the best interests and needs of the public school system in Ontario.
