Invitation to participate in the School District Survey
Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has launched a survey to seek input from the public on a variety of topics. The information gathered will assist in setting organizational priorities for the next few years.
According to newly-appointed Director of Education Rob McGall, the purpose of the survey is to collect public feedback in several key areas that are important to the District. Information gathered from the survey will be used to refine upcoming goals in the AiM—Achievement in Motion long range system plan. The survey also provides an opportunity for general comments and feedback.
“We aspire to be a system of choice and a positive service provider in our communities,” stated McGall. “We are interested in receiving information on how we are doing in the areas of service, communication, understanding of our purpose, as well as public awareness of key initiatives we are engaged in, such as our Growing with Character focus, and our long range plan for student success.”
The survey is available now through to Friday, October 28 and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. A link to the survey is posted on the HPEDSB home page. The direct link is: http://www.hpedsb.on.ca/survey For anyone wanting to complete it on paper, hardcopies will be available at all schools and administrative offices, or copies can be obtained by calling the Education Centre at 613.966.1170 or 1.800.267.4350.
A summary of results will be released in December 2011 and will be used during the next planning cycle beginning in spring 2012.
