Winter Wonderland Family Night featuring “French Carnaval.” If you’re interested in French culture, this is one event you should plan to attend!

DATE: Tuesday, February 7, 2012
TIME: 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Harry J. Clarke Public School, 77 Rollins Drive, Belleville

Students, staff and community volunteers are happily preparing for a night of music, literacy, math and a hockey match, complimented with delicious crêpes.

  • Live music from the school band, Glee Club and Primary choir
  • Literacy activities featuring Belleville Bulls hockey players and special guests reading winter stories and serving hot chocolate
  • Math activities featuring including a presentation from the author of “Four Piggies,” Jeanette Ramnarine and also critical thinking challenges
  • Healthy active living events and a hockey match against the Belleville Bulls
  • Make-and-take “Carnaval-inspired” crafts
  • Book trade: bring in your gently used books ahead of time and during the evening chose new books to take home

A presentation about French Immersion (begins in Grade 4) will provide interested students and parents with program details and how to apply.

Crêpes are back! Fresh-made, delicious, sweet and savoury crepes will be available for $5.

Bonhomme will be visiting and having his picture taken with students.

Maple snow cones are available to all!
