Growing with Character launch at Prince of Wales PS

Students, staff and volunteers at Prince of Wales Public School are getting limbered up in preparation for tomorrow’s Terry Fox event and inclusive activities. The school is launching its Growing with Character promotion, which is grounded in respect for self and others.

“Terry Fox was a national hero and leader, not only for cancer research but also for demonstrating courage, respect, integrity and so many more positive traits,” remarks Vice-Principal Suzanne Cholasta. “Our school is embarking on its own journey to model the district’s Growing with Character initiative and incorporating our own inclusive culture.”

Overall, the afternoon is about including everyone and having fun. It’s not about having athletic skill.”

Student success in all areas of education – academics, character development, citizenship, the arts and athletics is the goal for every student.
