Congratulations to PHE Canada Physical Education Award winners
Seven schools in Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board have received the prestigious Physical and Health Education Canada, Physical Education Award for the 2009-2010 school year. This award is presented to schools that provide students with Quality Daily Physical Education or Quality Physical Education programs.
“It is a pleasure to celebrate healthy active living and the quality of programming in Health and Physical Education that are direct benefits to lifelong physical literacy for students. So much is brought to the school culture and student experiences through the combination of curriculum and intramural activity. It is fantastic to have seven schools receive national recognition,” said Ian Boyd, Health and Physical Education Coordinator.
227 schools applied for the award in Ontario. Seven schools from the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board applied for this award and they were accepted. The award program encourages and recognizes excellence in school physical education programs.
