Character, accomplishments and athletics celebrated at Trenton High School
Recognizing student achievement is a tradition at Trenton High School. Recently the Fall Academic Recognition and Tiger Way Awards Evening was celebrated as one of the school’s premier events. Over 350 attendants gathered to honour and celebrate Tiger Excellence in academics as well as outstanding character. Over 100 students were recognized for achieving the top marks in courses from Grades 9 through 11. As well, the school honoured students achieving a position on the Honour Roll in Grades 9 through 11. Honour Roll represents an outstanding accomplishment of achieving an 80% or higher average over two semesters. The evening concluded with the prestigious Tiger Way Awards being presented to eight Tigers who were nominated by their teachers for demonstrating outstanding character as outlined in the Tiger Way and the district Growing With Character traits. This year, Trenton High School is proud to present those awards to Rebecca Belliveau, Troy Broe, Ashley Davy, Joshua Edwards, Paige Jackman, Ben Potts, Raven Roe, and Amy Sadler. Congratulations are also in order for the Trenton High Tigers football team that won this year’s Bay of Quinte title. It is the first time since 1974 that the team won this honour! The entire team showed true Tiger spirit and athleticism and all are proud of them! Special thanks to coaching staff Dunc Armstrong, Jeff McDougall, Roger Ramsay and community coach Mr. Draker.
