Acoustic concert tour featured local student performers

A recent music event was a huge success and raised funds for Quinte-area secondary schools.

The "A Tune for a Twoon" acoustic concert tour featured the following four emerging young singers/songwriters:

The event was organized by producer Brent Bodrug and Sly-Fi Chapel recording studio in association with MIX-97. All revenue generated from the $2 admission was donated to the Quinte Secondary School music department in appreciation of the school hosting the event. In addition, Sly-Fi Chapel, in association with Steinberg Media Technologies and Yamaha Music Canada, donated recording equipment and tutorial DVDs to area secondary schools.

Quinte Secondary School, as the school that raised the most money through attendance, also hosted a “live-to-air breakfast with the MIX-97 morning crew” from the school cafeteria on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. The school will also be provided a special recording workshop hosted by Dave Miner, Steinberg/Yamaha product specialist.
