18 students from four secondary schools to compete in Skills Ontario Competition

May 1, 2018—Eighteen students from four HPEDSB secondary schools are set to participate in the Skills Ontario Competition in Toronto.

Date: May 7 – 9, 2018
Location: Toronto Congress Centre

Students will compete in events for gold, silver and bronze medals and monetary awards. Gold medalists in some competitions will be eligible to go on to represent Ontario at the Skills Canada National Competition in June 2018 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Competitors are judged on their skills in completing their contest project. Students qualified for this event by participating in local competitions held at Loyalist College, St. Lawrence College and at their schools.

Winners will be announced at the Skills Ontario Closing Ceremony on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Toronto Congress Centre (North Building).
