In partnership with the Ministry of Education, HPEDSB offers affordable and accessible space to community partners, agencies, groups and individuals in support of healthy, active lifestyles and sustainable, vibrant communities.
Many schools across the district are available for use outside regular school hours to not-for-profit and for-profit groups, such as community, educational, cultural, recreational, youth, sports and educational partners. Space may also be rented by private instructors for activities such as music and karate lessons. Space is available after school hours on weekdays until 10:00 p.m and on weekends, depending on the availability of custodial staff. School day activities, extra-curricular activities and parent involvement activities organized or sponsored by the school or school board have priority use of school space during and after regular school hours.
Individuals and groups wanting to use space in schools must apply for a permit. All permits are subject to a $5.00 administrative fee. Additional fees may apply as outlined in the rates and user fee schedule. Please click on the links below to learn more about community use of schools, and to book space for your event or activity.
NOTE: We are no longer accepting permit requests for summer use. If you are interested in booking space after September 8, 2014, please contact the Community Use of Schools office.
