HPEDSB> Homestay Program

Students are provided a private room, three meals daily - seven days a week, and access to laundry facilities. Each homestay applicant participates in an in-home interview, an orientation session, and undergoes a criminal background check (more details here) and reference check.

Homestay Program fees are $700 CAD per month. The first five months of fees plus a Homestay Placement Fee of $250 CAD are invoiced with tuition and are due prior to arrival.

Tuition & Homestay Fees

Payments are made to:

Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board
direct deposit -certified cheque -bank draft -money order -wire transfer

(please add appropriate wire transfer fees)

Refund Policy

If a student is not approved by Canadian Immigration and is denied a study permit, a full refund of tuition fees,
minus a $250 CAD Administration Fee, and the $250 CAD Homestay Program Placement Fee, is returned to the
student upon written proof from Immigration of such refusal.

If unforeseen circumstances require a student to withdraw after the study permit has been issued, a refund will
be considered. Fees and pro-rated expenses will be deducted, and the balance returned within 30 days of receipt
of written notice. Canadian Immigration will be notified. If a student is found in violation of school regulations and
asked to withdraw from the ISP Program - no refund will be made and students will be returned home at the
homeland families expense.
