Food for Learning programs provide meals and/or snacks to students who arrive at school hungry or who need something extra at recess or lunch time. XXXXX is requesting your support by providing a donation of $XXXXXX, for the purpose of purchasing food, supplies and equipment for our xxx program.

At XXXXX School, a xxx program is offered which serves xxxx students daily. This program makes a noticeable difference to the students who participate, ensuring that they have nutritious food everyday, helping to maximize their learning potential. As a result of participating in a nutrition program, students are able to focus on their studies and not react to their hunger.

The cost of providing a student nutrition program is significant. Provincially, financial support is provided by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. In addition, other financial and in-kind donors continue to support Food for Learning’s student nutrition programs throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties. The cost, however, continues to grow and currently the demand for our program is greater than the resources available. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated by the students of XXXX School.
