Food for Learning’s student nutrition programs are offered in schools throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, including My School.  In an effort to minimize the impact hunger can make on a child’s ability to learn, we continue to provide breakfast, lunch and/or snacks to students every school day.  These programs are open and available to all students at our school, because every day children are arriving at school without the nourishment they need to grow, thrive and achieve.  It is our intent to continue to provide healthy meals and snacks, so that all children can maximize their learning potential in the classroom. 

As a program of The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation, Food for Learning continues to grow every year.  For many schools, including My School, this growth can quickly surpass the resources currently available to support our programs.  We are committed to ensuring that all students have access to quality nutrition programs that offer food choices with maximum nutritional value.  To accomplish our goals, it is our desire to partner with strong community groups and businesses who share our vision of feeding children.  We would like to request that ABC Company considers providing a charitable donation to the Food for Learning programs at My School. These funds will remain, and help children, in our local community.  This donation will be used to purchase healthy food items and supplies needed to effectively operate our student nutrition programs.
