| What can we do if our program runs out of money before the end of the year? |
| Food for Learning is not able to provide 100% of a school's cost to operate their student nutrition programs. All schools are required to supplement the funding received from Food for Learning through fundraising, parental contributions, donations, Breakfast for Learning grants, etc. If a school has exhausted their Food for Learning funding allotment, has used all other funds raised, and has no other means of funds to maintain their program, they may apply for emergency funding from Food for Learning. Schools may submit an Emergency Funding Request, and should receive a response within a week. Emergency Funding will be available to a school through the reimbursement process used for their annual funding allotment. Reimbursement payments using emergency funding will not be processed until the Emergency Funding request has been submitted and approved. |
