School Year Calendar goes on-line

    The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has published its school year calendar on-line for the first time.
On the first day of school, all 21,000 students in the district receive a copy of the school year calendar. It outlines important dates for students and parents to remember such as the March and Christmas breaks, non-instructional days, early dismissal days, secondary school exams, holidays and the dates of Board meetings. Students will still be taking home a copy of the calendar.
    In the past, the school year calendar was also mailed to local doctors, dentists and agencies whose services may be influenced by when students are attending classes. This year, the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has posted an downloadable version of the calendar on its website at www.hpedsb.on.ca instead of mailing out copies.
