ELEMENTARY LEADERSHIP APPOINTMENTS AND TRANSFERS

At its 1999 November 22 meeting, the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board  approved the following appointments and transfers to the elementary leadership teams.  These appointments have occurred as a result of the retirements of John Macarthur, Principal at Bancroft and Paudash Public Schools, and David Pearson, Principal at Sophiasburgh Central School, effective 1999 December 31.

Sharron Kennedy	Vice-Principal - Tweed-Hungerford & S. H. Connor Public Schools	Vice-Principal - Queen Elizabeth Public School (Picton)

The above appointments, along with a number of teacher retirements, will result in additional hiring of teachers in the new year.  The selection process for filling these vacancies is now underway.
The Board is confident the new leadership teams will provide clear direction and stability within its elementary schools as we move into the 21st century.  Also, the Board thanks its retiring principals for their many years of dedicated service.
