Parents' guide wins award
The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board's
publication Special Education - a guide for parents has won top honours
from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).
Almost one thousand entries were made in the annual
contest that recognizes excellence in graphic layout and design, writing
and content. Special Education - a guide for parents received an Award
of Excellence - the highest award given for special interest publications.
The award winning publication will be on display at the NSPRA National
Seminar in San Antonio, Texas this July.
"We are thrilled that this brochure has received
such an honour," said Les Jewell, Superintendent of Instruction and Special
Education. "It's a valuable resource to help parents understand the Board's
special education programs and services."
