Building inclusive school communities through character development
8 May 2008, Belleville, ON—The District School Council will host a symposium for parents/guardians, students, staff and community members.
Media representatives are invited to attend and report on this event.

Other locations: Live video-conferences from Centre Hastings Secondary School, North Hastings Secondary School, Prince Edward Collegiate and Trenton High School
This symposium will explore and celebrate the benefits of educating children in a system of character. The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) strives to maintain safe, secure, caring school communities where
students continue to experience academic and personal growth. Eight character attributes have been adopted by HPEDSB in
support of its goal to become a system of character. A system of character builds inclusive school communities.
Feedback requested through a survey
Feedback is requested on how schools are working to build inclusive school communities through character development. A survey will be handed out at the symposium. The survey will also be online from May 14 to 30, 2008.
