Susanna Moodie students clean up Veterans’ Park

5 November 2007, Belleville, ON—Children at Susanna Moodie Elementary care about their community. They are going to Belleville’s Veterans’ Park this week to clean up, in time for Remembrance Day ceremonies.

According to teacher Elizabeth Power, the idea came from students during a leadership workshop. The school’s EarthCARE team was the logical connection due to the environmental connection.

Staff from Rona Cashway is teaming up with the students to work on the clean-up. It is taking place Wednesday, November 7 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. at the Station Street location.
