"Going greener" at Pinecrest Memorial Elementary School

4 March 2008, Belleville, ON—Pinecrest Memorial Elementary School is "going greener!" The school will test a new rolling composter as part of a pilot program in Prince Edward County. The school has agreed to do data collection regarding waste diversion as part of this community project. Funds received as part of a grant from InterfaceFlor will be used to pay for the composter and to buy compost buckets for lunchrooms. Special thanks to the school's EarthCARE team for spearheading this project!

A special event to launch this project is scheduled for Thursday, March 6 at the Picton Community Centre at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
