25 February 2008, Belleville, ON—Come one, come all! Students, parents/guardians, other family members and friends of Sir John A. Macdonald School are invited to Family Night Out! This school community event features the movie Hoot, complete with popcorn, a pizza dinner and parenting workshops.
Date: Tuesday, February 26
Pizza dinner: 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. ($2 per slice, 65 cents for milk)
Movie and workshops: 6:00 p.m.
Hoot movie description
A young man, Lerman, moves from Montana to Florida with his family, where he's compelled to engage in a fight to protect a population of endangered owls. This movie is approved by the Hastings and Prince Edward Distirct School Board for Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Learn about the Daily Physical Activity (DPA) mandate. Learn how to help kids eat healthy, get active and feel good about themselves!

No one likes nagging, yelling and punishing, neither adults who do it nor children who are on the receiving end. Learn a few ways to encourage the kind of behaviour that can make the day go more smoothly for everyone.
- Handy Phrases for Parents
Do you ever think of what you wish you had said to your children . . . after the moment’s gone by? Learn a few good lines that could come in handy.
