Students prepare for Family Literacy Night
25 February 2008, Belleville, ON—Students at V.P. Carswell Elementary School are preparing for a special evening with their families. From now until early March, all students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 will be creating a piece of work reflecting their own personal family history. On Wednesday, March 5, students and their families will be invited to the school for dinner and literacy activities. During the evening, children will take their parents to their classrooms to show off their work. Examples of projects will include journal writing, colourful maps, reports on family members, family treasures, and other creations.
Date: Wednesday, March 5, 2008
Dinner: 5:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Literacy activities: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
All parents and guardians are welcome to attend!
