| 22 May 2007, Belleville, Ontario—Students and staff of Bayside Secondary School will participate in a Relay for Life this Friday, May 25. They are hoping to raise $12,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Jeff Brace, the president of the Canadian Cancer Society, will attend the opening ceremonies and will present a plaque to the school in recognition of its involvement in this initiative.
Relay for Life agenda
• 7:15 p.m. - Survivor Walk which involves people who are survivors of cancer and their supporters walking the track in a victory survivor walk.
• 10:00 p.m. - Luminary ceremony. These lights have been purchased as tributes to people who have suffered from cancer.
• 7:00 a.m. - Saturday, May 26 – Closing ceremony
MEDIA representatives, family, friends and community members are invited participate.
