Retirees honoured for contributing to student achievement
5 June 2006, Belleville, Ontario—Employees who are retiring from the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board will be honoured at a celebration this evening. The list of retirees includes teachers, educational assistants, co-ordinators, secretaries, custodians, repair technologists, principals, vice-principals and managers.

“It is the people who make a difference at the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board,” remarks Judy Edgar, Chair of the Board. “All employees are valued for all they do to support student achievement and for contributing to HPEDSB being A Great Place to Learn and A Great Place to Work!

The Board extends sincere appreciation and gratitude to retiring employees for their years of dedicated service.

The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has 46 elementary and eight secondary schools serving 18,700 students, employing 1,067 teachers and 775 support staff. The Board covers a wide geographical area of 7,221 square kilometres bordered by Maynooth to the north, Deseronto to the east, Prince Edward County to the south, and Quinte West to the west.
