Calling for nominations for the 3rd Annual Great Place Awards
What makes a school board A Great Place to Learn and A Great Place to Work? The people who are involved with it!

The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) is accepting nominations for the
3rd Annual Great Place Awards. This prestigious awards program recognizes and reinforces outstanding contributions that make the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board A Great Place to Learn and A Great Place to Work!

“The Great Place Awards are the highest form of recognition within our Board. Anyone who works for the Board or who has a connection to it can be nominated,” remarks Judy Edgar, Chair of the Board.

Nominations are encouraged from and for HPEDSB employees, students, parents and community members throughout the jurisdiction of the Board. Complete guidelines and nomination forms are available on the home page of the Board’s Web site at http://www.hpedsb.on.ca/

Awards will be presented at the public Board meeting on Monday, June 21, 2004, at 8:00 p.m., at The Education Centre, 156 Ann Street, Belleville. Award winners and nominators will be notified in advance.

The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board has 46 elementary and eight secondary schools serving 18,700 students, employing 1,067 teachers and 775 support staff. The Board covers a wide geographical area of 7,221 square kilometres bordered by Maynooth to the north, Deseronto to the east, Prince Edward County to the south, and Quinte West to the west.
