Loyalist and HPEDSB sign agreement

        Today, the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board and Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology signed an agreement that strengthens the ongoing partnership between the two organizations.
        "This agreement gives our students access to information about continuing their education at Loyalist College," said Audrey Carter, Chair of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. "We are pleased to formalize our commitment to providing access to opportunities that will further the success of our students in their post secondary education."
The agreement, called a Commitment to Access, includes five commitments:

        "By providing teachers with more information about college education and creating opportunities for them to visit Loyalist College, our current partnership with educators in the school system will be enhanced," said Loyalist President Douglas Auld."We are confident that, with all of us working together, we will expand the opportunities for students to attend Loyalist College."
        The Commitment to Access was signed by Audrey Carter, Chair, and Larry Langdon, Director of Education, from the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, and Beverley Townsend, Chair, and Douglas Auld, President, from Loyalist College at the College's  Board of Governors meeting, November 8, 2001.
