Meeting set with Parliamentary Assistant
 
        Trustees of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board have received confirmation of a scheduled meeting between its representatives and Garfield Dunlop, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education, on Monday, October 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Education Centre in Belleville.
        The meeting had originally been scheduled for October 1, in Toronto, but Mr. Dunlop was unable to attend. Chair Audrey Carter sought the meeting to discuss the impacts of the Student Focussed Funding Model on the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. The Board is underfunded in the areas of Transportation, School Secretarial, Principals / Vice-principals, and School Operations and with declining enrolments projected, the situation of under funding will only worsen.
