Tyendinaga Public School issues kindness challenge
Random Acts of Kindness Week
begins Monday March 5 and students in Dolores Hachey's Grade six class
at Tyendinaga Public School are starting a ripple that they hope grows
into a wave.
It started with a challenge
to other classes and now the challenge has been issued to every school
in the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. Tyendinaga Public
School is challenging students, staff and community members to commit random
acts of kindness and submit kindness stories to their website, "The Kindness
Zone". Any act of kindness, big or small counts.
"The big thing is to share
the stories and watch the chain of kindness grow," said Principal Jan Coombs.
The challenge is running for the whole month of March and you can log
on to share your kindness stories at www.hpedsb.on.ca/tyend/kindness.htm.
Students will be checking in to track the stories and watch the kindness
wave grow.
