Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board is a system of character.

Growing with Character was introduced during the 2007–2008 school year. The character development journey has evolved to the point that today, Growing with Character is the foundation upon which school culture, and organizational operations and practices are based.

The eight Growing with Character attributes are regularly promoted and modeled at all schools and offices.

All schools and buildings in the district proudly display a character banner (pdf) that promotes the eight attributes representing the values we share in our communities.

Banners are also displayed in municipal and community buildings throughout Hastings County and Prince Edward County.
