Success for each student.
Growing with character. Safe, inclusive environments.
At Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board we remain committed to providing engaging programs and services to help each student reach his or her full potential. This includes our emphasis on character development and safe and inclusive schools through our Growing with Character initiative. With the support of our trustees, employees, parents/guardians, students and community we remained dedicated to our primary goal of helping students acquire the skills needed to succeed in school and in life, and to become confident, well-rounded global citizens.

Our long-range system plan, AiM—Achievement in Motion for Student Success— provides direction for organizing our work to ensure we make progress in three key areas: Success for Each Student, Employee Excellence and Community Connections. Examples of AiM initiatives that support student learning include the continued expansion of full day Kindergarten in our district, our progressive facility renewal and consolidation projects to ensure we have 21st Century learning environments for our students, and comprehensive strategies to deal with declining enrolment.
