The new JK-8 school will accommodate students from Stirling Primary School, Stirling Junior Public School and Stirling Senior Public School. The new school will be located on the current Stirling Senior School site and will open in September 2013.

December 2011

Planning for the new school is underway. A Community Information Meeting was held on Thursday, December 8, 2012 at Stirling Senior School. The purpose of this meeting was to provide an overview of the project and timelines and to share the initial draft site plan. An opportunity for questions and feedback from community members was provided.

January 2012

A second Community Information Session was held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. The draft school floor plans were shared and an opportunity was provided for questions and input into the draft plans.

June 11, 2012

Trustees approved a tender in the amount of $10,212,000 for Jasper Construction Corporation to construct the new Stirling school. The project scope will include:

1. A new building on the current Stirling Senior Public School site.
2. Modifications to the existing site for parking, bus loading and storm water drainage systems.
