| Queen Victoria School |
Queen Victoria School, the oldest operating school in Belleville, located on the east side of the Moira
River, serves approximately 300 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6.
Queen Victoria School is a Healthy Active School Community. Facilities include a library resource
centre with computer lab and a well-equipped resource room. The shaded, spacious playground has
many facilities and equipment for all ages. At QVS, the “Together We Light the Way” Respect Program
assists students in developing respect, appreciation and understanding of their uniqueness. The school
works to promote home and school partnerships with parental involvement in the breakfast club,
family activity nights, Kindergarten Welcome Bag program, class and school newsletters and book
fairs. Learning celebrations include Science Week, the annual musical and the Belleville Bulls Role
Model Program. The school is also home to the Adventure Class programs. Students proceed to Queen
Elizabeth School in Belleville for Grade 7 and 8. |
