You have Got the POWER event features Pinball Clemons

Union and non-union support staff will be entertained at a special event Friday, November 28, 2008. Three well-known guest speakers will motivate, stimulate and get everyone laughing during this one-day presentation.

You’ve Got the POWER will feature the following:

  • Michael ‘Pinball’ Clemons – The Importance of Teamwork
  • Lorraine Behnan – Communication: The Art of Give and Take
  • Meg Soper – Acting in Balance while Balancing the Act

As many as 500 employees are expected to attend. The show will be live at Trenton High School, with video-conferencing to North Hastings High School. Start time is 9:30 a.m. with opening remarks by Kathy Soule, Director of Education. Clemons is expected to take the stage at 10:00 a.m., Behnan at 11:30 a.m., and Soper at 2:00 p.m.

This event is sponsored by the district and subsidized by Ontario Education Services Corporation.

Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board serves more than 16,700 students each day at 46 elementary and eight secondary schools. Supporting student achievement is the goal of close to 1,800 teaching and support staff who, in addition to the contributions of caring volunteers and community partners, provide the best opportunity for students to learn. The district covers a wide geographical area of 7,221 square kilometres bordered by Maynooth to the north, Deseronto to the east, Prince Edward County to the south and Quinte West to the west.
