Trenton High students to perform a play for elementary students
During the month of May, students in the Employment Destinations Program at Trenton High School will be performing an original play called “The Story of Duncel & Girdle." It tells of two children who learn the value of kindness through an unexpected adventure.
What makes this production unique is that it will be performed entirely by students who have special learning needs and who have never had the confidence to participate in such an experience. With peer support, they are now eager and ready!
The THS students will perform for audiences of Kindergarten to Grade 4 students. Breadner Elementary School will host the first performance on Friday, May 20, followed by Queen Elizabeth Public School, Trenton, on Thursday, May 26. The final performance will be held at Trenton High School on Monday, May 30.
This production was made possible with the support of a Project Enhancement Fund grant from The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation.
