The spirit of giving is strong at HPEDSB

On a regular basis, school communities and administrative offices demonstrate their caring and compassion for others through numerous fundraising activities. This year is no different! Congratulations to students, parents/guardians and staff for their continual support for local charities.

Contributions to United Way of Quinte

  • Activities for United Way have included food drives, bike-a-thons, pajama day, chew gum in class day, hat day, silent auctions and Chili Fest, just to name a few.
  • United Way of Quinte is a volunteer led non-profit organization that works in partnership with community agencies and organizations to develop innovative and collaborative social services, health, and community programs.

Contributions to The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation

  • Activities for The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation have included donations of knitted hats, scarves and mittens, volunteers who prepare meals for children and caring citizens who donate funds.
  • "An alarming number of students do not have access to proper nutrition and other basic necessities at home, something that many of us take for granted. The Learning Foundation is able to assist local schools with providing nutritious meals to those students who need them. An emergency fund has been created to provide necessities to students in need." – Tony Guerrera, Director, The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation.
