Play about acceptance, peer pressure, seen by 4,000 students

Nearly 4,000 students watched the play,  “The Incredible Speediness of Jamie Cavanaugh” last week during a board-wide tour. The play toured from Bancroft to Bloomfield over five days and 10 performances.

This was the best play we’ve ever seen was the reaction from students, teachers and principals alike.

The company, Roseneath Theatre, based in Toronto, is Ontario’s largest touring company and they are noted for their issues-based shows. Jamie Cavanaugh has been the most popular show in their history and focuses on issues of acceptance, bullying, peer pressure, friendship and empathy while focusing on the main character’s struggle with her ‘speediness’ which is diagnosed as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
