Olympian Brian Price visits Moira Secondary School

Canadian Olympian Brian Price will visit Moira Secondary School to reacquaint himself with his former high school. He will be at the school Friday, November 14, 2008.

“Everyone is so pumped about Brian coming to see us!” remarks Principal Kim Sampson. “He’s a Moira graduate and we are so proud of him!”
Price graduated from Moira SS in the mid-1990s. He is a member of the Men’s Eight rowing team that won Gold at the 2008 Summer Olympic in Bejing, China. While at the the school, Price will be treated to a special presentation and will interact with students. Grade 7 and 8 students from two elementary feeder schools, Harry J. Clarke Public School and Quinte Mohawk School, have also been invited to the celebration.
Price will be a guest speaker at the Moira Secondary School 50th Anniversary Reunion in May 2009.
