Grade 6 students from Harry J. Clarke Public School gave a local resident whose home was destroyed in a recent fire an early Christmas present.

On Wednesday, French Immersion students Addy Hutchison and Paige Brown presented Martin More with the $223.93 that they and their classmates raised after hearing about his misfortune.

Principal Marie Mitchell commented about the leadership these students demonstrated.

“They wanted to do something to show they cared. This was entirely student-driven,” said Mitchell.
